Coolant Sensor

I had my water pump and thermo changed out a couple months ago and currently the warning light would come on. Probably like once a week. I don't have the fan going crazy or the car overheating. My shop guy told me the coolant sensor probably went bad. Anyone have any experience with anything like this?

Just replace it. It's a $40 part and takes 5 minutes to install. You will loose a small amount of coolant in the process.

nah i know, i am having it replaced tomorrow anyway. Just was wondering if someone else had gone through the same thing. I want this to be the reason and not something major
