Blower motor resistor
Sooo my fan (AC/heater) stopped functioning couple days ago. I researched the problem and it seemed like these blower motor resistor fail alot on our car.
I dropped my car off at the shop this morning and just got it back. At least it was relatively a cheap repair. I hear the moisture somehow gets through the cabin filter and ruins these. is there anyway this can be prevented? I don't wanna have to replace these every few years. I wanna hear some feedback from fellow members who also had this issue

My blower motor stopped working last week. Did some research, the actual fan was rusted and wouldn't spin. Assuming water gets in there very easily. I used wd40 on the fan bolt/rod and still nothing, I then took a screw driver and gave it a push to spin it. And bam! It worked. I guess since I don't drive the car that often is why it got rusted stuck.
