Bac Mono: My new Dream Car

Anyone else as in love with this thing as I am? Power to weight ration of a Veyron and it feels and drives like an F1 car. Are they legal in the US though?

I dont see any orange reflectors all over it. Probably not legal in the US.

I think I'd rather have a Caterham 7, BUT it looks AMAZING.

they are legal in the US....in fact they have an importer in SF who is previously big in the Lotus community.

it's been one of my dream cars for a while.

This is amazing news. How much are they in USD? I'm guessing around $130k.

Edit: Never mind, apparently it's $200k on Sector-11's site.... Dang, still cheaper than a F1 car though, and up until this point I always thought Ferrari's got as close to a F1 experience on a street car.

Edit 2: Just checked that it should be priced around $135k max, what a premium these guys are charging.

I love this car. If I had the dough I would have ordered one in dark grey like the one they had in the Top Gear studio a season or two back. The car looks incredible, one of my all-time favorites.

That's what I was thinking. And 0-60 in 2.8 in a F1 car fit for the street. I'm in love and will own one some day.

Caterham's are not really close to being in the league of the Bac Mono.....this is several notches above in quality, engineering, and desirability, IMO.

The Donkervoorts are in the same league however, and i LOVE those.

Not to derail but it looks like Atoms in the US are made with a 2.3L Honda engine? I didn't notice a V8 option.

Yes a handful of us in the USA put our deposits down a while back and was invited to test drive one last year. It was phenomenal. I used to own and daily drive an arial atom 2 300 (yeah I'm nuts). The mono is on a whole other level. We test drove it on track and the mid-corner speeds are insane. My brain was telling me that I should be flying off the track but the mono stuck. I'm on the east coast. Will be hitting east coast tracks soon

I'm on the East coast too! Where do you usually track your cars?
I'm at NJMP pretty often and will be racing at The Glen later this year.
