335i DCT Launch control

Hi I am looking at buying a 335i with DCT and would like to know if there is any way to check how many launches have been performed as I wouldn't want to purchase a 4 year old car that has been hammered with the launch. It has the newer CIC nav so maybe some way to get info that way ?

Also is there any other info I can find out without hooking a PC up to the OBDII ?

Thanks
Marc

Unfortunately it's not from a BMW dealer and I doubt the seller would let me take it to a dealer.

Is there an unlock sequence for the sat nav to access hidden screens ?

On the CCC there is a sequence that gives hidden screens and data. I thought maybe there would be a similar in the CIC.

I don't know the answer to your question, but as an owner of a DCT 335i i can tell you that is not something you do regularly if you care a bit about the car... i think i have done it twice in 3 years... is not that addictive to be honest.

I'd be more interested to know if the previous owner respected the warm up time of the engine before going wot, or if he cools down the turbo...

Good luck

I've had mine for a year and still haven't tried it. Its either have my kickdown blocker or launch control and the kickdown blocker is far more useful in daily driving.
