Radio LCD panel issue
So yesterday I saw that the LCD panel on the radio system wasn't lighting up right. After a few hours when I got back in the car it seemed to work fine. Anyone faced this kinda issue ever?
I have attached a couple of pics. See the top part of the screen where there are tiny dots and the time isn't lit up evenly all across on the top. |

It might be hard to tell from the pics, especially on the time corner of the LCD but if you were looking at it in person then it was almost like there was no light in that corner.

Yep. Pretty common issue. I had stereo replaced under warranty and it happened again 2 years later. Now the bottom half of the pixels don't even show.
I recall there's a DIY somewhere here on the forum on how to replace the LCD display yourself.

Mine has the same problem, once in a while it works fine, my e46 had the same problem. It's a "family" disease.

Time to get a windshield sun protector. It helps to keep cooler temps inside the car when is parked for long hours.
