Not letting me get into the service menu....

So I've been searching about and am yet to find anything that can help me... Story is quite simple really, I did my oil change last night and all went well (with the exception of a few spills lol..) until I tried to reset the oil service through the odometer (I don't have idrive)..
I put in the key, press start once without depressing the clutch and instantly I get a yellow exclamation mark in the upper screen (not the small one in the triangle). I can try holding the odometer reset button for as long as I'd like but nothing changes, it stays with the big yellow exclamation mark...
I checked the oil level, its at max.. Retightened everything and still no change... If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated!
Btw the car is a 2007 e92 335i. Thanks in advance!!

You need to wait until that yellow triangle disappears, then press and hold the odometer reset button immediately after it vanishes. After holding it for 2 seconds the yellow triangle will come back, continue to hold it until you see the service menu.

There was no yellow triangle, it was simply a yellow exclamation mark

It was closed lol:P... But anyways as for a quick little update... Not entirely sure what happened but thankfully the problem disappeared yesterday morning when I attempted to get into the service menu again!

Same instructions apply. It won't let you into the service menu until all of the notifications on the dash have gone off.

Yeah but in my case the exclamation mark would not leave until I turned the car on.. The thing is it wasn't my first time entering the service menu, it was simply my first time encountering such an odd problem:P.
