I am thinking about selling my daily driver Space Gray 2007 e92 335i 6MT with gray interior, heated seats, and aluminum trim. It is a 5/2007 build with the factory oil cooler. I bought the car about 5 years ago as a CPO with 16k miles on it. Clean carfax and title in hand.

Currently, it is lightly modded with a Cobb tune, ETS 5" FMIC, AFE Stage 2 intake with scoops, and OEM M sport rear bumper. I have recently had the valves cleaned around 96k and replace the oil filter housing gaskets around 108k. I bought a water pump and thermostat, but have not replaced them yet as my original one still works. New sparks plugs and coils were put in about 5k miles ago. I'll probably being doing all new rotors and brakes soon. The tires I had install about a year ago and expect they have another 30k miles to go for the rears. The vehicle has been maintained very well with oil changes every 5-7.5k miles. HPFP recall was done, but I never had mine fail.

Overall, the vehicle has given me very little trouble. Wastegates went out around 85k and were replaced under CPO. It burns or has blow by of about half a quart over 4000 miles. I am going to replace the PCV with the RB upgrade one with a new PCV hose to see if that helps lower the amount. I can’t seem to find any other source of an oil leak. I could either sell the car stock or part out. The next mod I thought about doing are downpipes.

So I am ordering a 2016 M4 and expect to have my car by November. Which means I'll be needing to get rid of my 2007 335i towards the end of the year. I have figured out that the oil burning/blow by appears to only really happen with driving at high speeds. Current mileage is about 123k and I expect it to be around 128k towards the end of the year.

New water pump and thermostat have been installed. All new ceramic brakes and rotors. Brake fluid and clutch flushed. Transmission and rear diff fluid recently changed too. I still have enough transmission fluid to do another flush as well.

I also have a set of winter wheels (rials) with TPMS that I would consider putting in the deal as well since it will be winter time. The winter tires probably need to be replaced if you plan on going up any steep hills with deep snow from a standstill, but they are way better and safer than running summer tires. Worked fine in the last few snow storms we had.

I'd keep the car myself just to drive around for winter because I know it probably runs better than most cars with this high of mileage, but I simply will not have the space. Kind of a shame really.

Yes, car runs fine. I'm getting rid of stuff I don't need before selling the car. The FMIC is a little more involved to remove and I might just keep it on for the summer. I've got an M4 coming in the fall.

What is the oil burning issue? Also you stated turbo wastegates replaced per extended warranty. Did they do just the actuators or the entire turbo? Was under the impression they new updated actuators were not available separately

Mainly blow by due to the pcv design. It doesn't smoke. I also believe there is a small leak from either the valve cover or the oil pan gasket. Maybe needs 1/2 to 1 qt every 5-7k miles.

Just the actuators replaced.

Original window sticker. Most maintenance records available as well. Receipts for major items replaced by myself for water pump/thermostat, OFH gasket, rotors/brakes, etc. Oil was changed 200 miles ago. New AGM battery retrofitted about 1 year ago. AFE Brake fluid flushed 1 year ago.

The 2007 e92 335i came standard with xenon headlights and Logic 7 upgraded sound system. These items were added as options in later years. The car needs limited reconditioning for cosmetic items like the front bumper depending on how much that stuff bothers you. I'm willing to negotiate additional cost for some repainting if new owner wants to change the front bumper to M-tech.

Solid deal! By the way, that amount of oil consumption is perfectly normal on these cars and should not deter anyone from the sale. Most people don't even make mention of it. GLWS!

Thanks. Trying to give full disclosed on it. It's always used about 1/2 since I got with with 16k miles. There is noticeable oil at the oil pan gasket though. If I had a garage where I could work on the car over a couple days I'd fix it myself. I just don't have enough free time to commit 8 hours fixing it in one go. Plus I'd probably want to do a few other preventative items while the subframe is down.
