Me led cluster mod

Changed cluster LEDs to white and wanted to share my results. I personally didn't do it, buddy of mine did.

It's actually fairly simple. I just wouldnt do it because then it doesn't match with the fan controls and what-not.

yes. you would have to replace a lot of bulbs in order for it to match. looks kind of like a lexus dash cluster lol.

Is the white harder on the eyes while driving at night? I feel like the nice part about the red is that it's not blinding/makes it easier to see down the road

I read that a long time ago. That they use amber because it creates the least amount of eye fatigue. But IRCC the F30 has white guages.

You can Just leave out the LCD display like I did so it still matchs as the dials are white when not illuminated anyway.

M3's have their center LCD display with orange LEDs still, and use red needles.

I did mine last year and have loved it

Doesn't distract me at night at all. Thinking of doing red needles as well, but $40 for needles seems ridiculous to me..

not that difficult if you can solder lol. only two screws hold the cluster in place.

lol i literally sat with the gauge cluster ripped apart for a half hour thinking about doing the LCD panel's too, but it would've made me want to make the radio match, along with every other orange bulb in the cockpit lol. (but I think I read you said you were planning on doing that anyway so apparently we thought similarly haha)

The blue definitely looks nice man

I tried this once a few years back, but fucked it up haha.

It looks good, but I like the look of the red needles a little bit better - more like the m3 cluster. I just took the needles off and colored the top with a red sharpie. very easy if you're interested!
