BBS CH-R or CSL replica's

Are the reps that much worse in quality than the BBS?

BBS well, I had a set and they are strong as strong gets.

depends on the brand of the rep but generally speaking yes reps are much weaker than authentic rims, I've had good experience with VMRs though, can't say the same about some other reps

Garage List
Authentic BBS are forged. Reps are cast alloy wheels.

How long will it take you to clean each..............CH=half the time. better looking too imo. CSL looks smaller.

+1 on VMRs. Owned a set and the quality was superb. Got rid of them though because the matte black finish was constantly caked with visible brake dust. Could of switched to ceramic brake pads but I still got factory warranty.

I want to keep my existing wheels for track days.

After having a set of Sportec Reps on my Audi, which is long gone. I can say they looked great, however not even close in quality to the BBS, which I had prior. They may have gotten slightly deformed with regular driving on Canadian roads.

If you can afford it then get authentic BBS. If you can't then reps. Forged is where it's at.
