Rear wheel spacers on an XI
So. I want to run wheel spacers in the rear of the car. But. The hub centric hub is pretty long. Longer than most spacers are wide. Are there specific spacers for the rear of the car?
Thanks ! |

I was able to fit 12mm with no issues, no special type for rear.

I highly recommend THESE!
I have 15mm in the rear on my 335i, and will be doing the same sometime soon on my new-to-me x-drive.

Hey sorry to bring this one back but I had a question on 10mm spacers on the rear of my E90 XI. I've seen some places that they don't recommend using a 10mm spacer in the rear like with Turner's statement:
"A note about 10mm spacers: Any 10mm spacer is considered a custom fitment. The stock hubcentric lip on BMWs can stick out by as much as 11mm. This leaves a gap between the spacer and the hub which seriously compromises safety. We recommend using a larger spacer (12mm and larger do not have this issue) or check that the lip sticks out less than 10mm" With that said, I am looking to get 10mm spacers for the rear and was wondering if the spacers were 10mm hub centric would it be ok? Thanks!

You should more or less than 10mm. It is best to have some of the hub sticking out for proper alignment of the wheel. The wider spacers have an extended hub built in. 10mm and narrower spacers are just flat plates. VAC makes hub extenders for the front but none exist for the rear.

hello all so by reading your comments so its fine to put just rear spacers for xi or bigger in rear?
i just installed 19's 8.5 and 9.5 235/35 and 265/30 and dropped it also with coilovers. right now it sits really nice but i feel like it can still improve with spacers.. they guy who installed my coilovers said i can probably rock 10mms all around but i just read here that its not really good to put 100mm in the back? any advice will be appreciated.. gona measure my wheel gap also when i get home... |

Yes, they are H&R hub centric spacers. But without hub centric rings, trying to figure out which one to order,
