Nope sounds good to me. After all the talking and waiting for this sheet to come out, all the 135 guys should be happy! These prices cant be a surprise, people have been saying $35k base for a while now.

I think its too high. Not to mention they basically gave it all the options of the 3 series which is a mistake. Things like comfort access should be exclusive to 3+ series. Basically BMW is making the 1 series a 3 series in a different body for less money. Terrible marketing IMHO. They have to keep some differentiality(is that a word?) between the two lines to justify the higher pricing for the 3 series. If you can get over the looks and size of the 1 series, you can have all the perks of a 3 series (options and performance wise) for $5-10K less.

Were you in the group of people who thought you could get a loaded 135 for $35,000?
I personally don't think it's too expensive at all. You're talking about a smaller, lighter, shorter version of the 3 series with aero kit stock (on the 135) and a different body style. Too many people just had COMPLETELY unreasonable expectations for the price of this car given what the standard equipment (specifically the engine) was. |

My 335 was $46,129. It does seem like a lot, but I am sure that Vishnu will have a lot of fun w/the 135. Should be a very fast car!

Compared to my E90 335i, it is exactly 4k less expensive with the same options. I expected it to be about 6k less than an equivalent sedan ($41,500 the way I have it optioned compared to 47,500). If they have good lease rates, they'll sell alot.

you people are absolutely dreaming if you ever thought the 135i would cost anything less than $35k. where people come up with these ideas is beyond me.
what other car can you get with 300+hp, 300+lb/ft torque for $35 grand? not to mention the handling characteristics, shifter, clutch, interior and all the other BMW things that make BMW's great. find me a car with a better value for $35k and i'll believe you when you say the 135i is overpriced. and no, the g37 doesn't even come close. i believe the is350 is more expensive and slower as well. so what else is there that even compares? |

This is NOT accurate!!! They would not charge for power seats on a 135, just like a 335. They are not going to charge for premium hifi!! Plus, since I work for BMW, they would never have a sheet organized like this. I smell BS!!! Just hold your horses and wait another month, you wont be able to get the car before then anyways.

Yes I do too. It's crazy that they charge $3600 for premium package on 128i, and 135i MSRP is only 3K less than E90 335i or 5K less than E92.

too much money for a 1 series. but the rationale is that they don't want to water down the brand name, nor do they want to defer 3 series customers based on price.

FWIW.. Optioned the same... The 135 is $5K less than my 335i coupe. I'd still spend the extra $5K on the 335i. Just like the way it looks. If peformance is all you want, seems reasonable. You can't get this kind of engine in ANY car for $35K. Technically you could buy a base 135i, a Procede v2.02 and some sticky tires for less than $38k and be running 1/4 miles with base Corvettes. Not shabby.
