OEM CSL's worth it?
I have a 2011 x-drive 335i with the sport package that I'm interested in putting rims on. Unfortunately for a non M-sport car, the factory wheels are 17's, so that just won't do.
I'm a huge fan of the CSL's, and I'm leaning towards buying them new. There are many knockoffs and lookalikes out there. Given that I live in the crusty snowbelt, I don't plan to run the wheels all year and will use my 17's with winter tires seasonally. I'm curious as to whether it's worth paying the extra money to get OEM rims? The cheapest I've found for the 19" wheels is about 2k. Most of the replicas are 1200 to 1500. Since I generally liquidate my mods on my car before selling it, I think I can probably get more from OEM's. Is my thinking false here? Anybody got any input? Are the reps stronger possibly? We don't have the best roads anymore...
