Picked up my 328i today
Thanks to Steve at Pacific BMW in Glendale...
My 2003 E53 was on its final legs and finally gave up on me a week ago. Picked this beauty up today in Mineral Grey, M Sport, black dakota with the aluminum hexagon trim. Now I'm part of the F34 family! Gonna get some wheels with real rubber sooner than later, but here it is fresh and hot. I was really torn between the Luxury Line in Midnight blue with the saddle brown interior...but I think in the end, I got a car in the same color scheme as my E53. |

Congrats! I love my 328iX GT in MG as well. Also MSport, but with red interior and dark walnut burl trim.
Great DD, just a wonderful piece of equipment! I hope you enjoy yours! |

Looks great. Congrats! Since you mentioned you plan on putting some aftermarket wheels on, please share a photo or two once you do. Always cool to see photos. K2N's thread: Modifications of my F34 with some pics. http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=936220 shows his with some sweet aftermarket 20s on it.
Hey since you are in LA too, I am wondering if you are noticing the same thing I am. As of a month ago, I had only seen two 3GTs total over the previous couple months despite the car being available since the summer and despite me looking out for them. However, I've seen around 10 of them in the past couple weeks on the west side and (if driving) I've sped up to get a better look like a groupie or something! It will be interesting to see the extent to which that continues...not the groupie part, but seeing them regularly. Perhaps there were a decent amount of December orders?? |

little update.
The led strip light in the trunk on the left side didn't work. Honestly, I thought it was weird that only the right side had a light, and would have never known had I not removed the panel to store some gloves and when I popped the panel back in, the light flashed. So I hit the panel a few times and the light came on. It still goes out intermittently. If I tap the panel, sometimes it flickers on, sometimes it doesn't. Annoying for a brand new car. |

I think the car is a slow seller, just because people don't know it exists. They hear Gran Turismo and immediately think of the 5 GT. Hell, that's what I thought.
I've always been a hatchback guy thought. I love the X6, and I dare I say, I love the 550 GT. But they drive heavy and are out of my price range. When I saw the 3 GT, I knew that it was gonna be the perfect car for me. I think once the car has been out a full year here, we'll start seeing more and more of them. But for now, mine is the only one around my neighborhood. |

I'm getting so frustrated, ordered mine Dec 18. It made it to the port in Baltimore last Thursday/Friday, but says it's still awaiting a shipping vessel to get it to Chicago... It was 10 weeks yesterday. I got a 335 M in MG as well. All you $()*^#( posting pics of yours are making me jealous!

That's a long time! Do you know when it actually went into production? I just ordered mine and won't go into production for another week or so.

Production started on 1/16, arrived at the port in Germany on 1/31, finally arrived at the port in the U.S. on 2/21, now awaiting transport to Chicago.

I went to get my interior trunk LED replaced (left side) and set a service appointment, told them what was going on.
I get there, drop the car off, and 3 hours later I get a call saying the car is so new, they don't even have that part in stock. Gee, thanks for telling me. Btw, did anyone ask to make the auto start/stop button reprogrammed so it holds the last user setting vs. resetting every time you shut off? service said they had to notify BMW in advance in order to reprogram the vehicle. |
