Committed F8X buyers, will it bother you if the W205 C63 makes over 500hp?

I'm just curious how important absolute power is to the average crowd here.
It seems that the new Benz C-class AMG will sport a TT V8. It's hard to imagine that they don't want to make a big deal about it and let it pump out above 500 hp. Will it bother you?

I can start with saying, not one iota. I couldn't care if it pumps out 1500 hp.

And the fact it will be 3600+ lbs and I don't like the new c class styling

I plan on keeping this m3 for a while. If I need more power I'll just tune and mod this, though IMO it will rip even in stock form

Given that the f8x will be even faster than the e9x that's a stunning amount of speed. For me I'm at the end of wanting even more power.

+1.
BMW timed the focus on weight instead of power well. I had hoped for more weight savings but I still prefer what they've done to a higher hp figure.

Right at some point to much power is to much. Focus on the other things that matter you know steering, suspension, weight distribution what Germans are know for.

Question

BMW's base 3/4 series did not loose much weight, all the savings was on the M's.

So if MB reduces their AMG models by another ~170 lbs over the lighter new 2015 car...

I took a test drive in a C63. The interior was fantastic. The engine noise wast great. I really loved it.

But...

Overall... BMW beat it on handling. BMW is going to beat it on fuel economy. BMW is going to be better in its interior versus the E90. BMW has a manual or DCT. BMW is lighter.

I have driven many cars. I have seem many horrible accidents occur around me. I'll take handling over power every time.

Come on people, we always want more power. I bet that BMW could get another 100+ hp and tq from the new engine. If Cobb does ever break the ecu I will be modding the shit out of the f8x. However, for now I more than happy with the power delivery Bmw is predicting for the New M3/4.

Base 2014 C with manual gearbox is 3200lbs so add a automatic tranny, bigger engine, two turbos, a inter cooler, very possible 3600+

Pwr/weight ratio is more important than power.

If I wanted more power, I'd spent another $10k and get an M5.

It's slower... Keep the weight of the new M3/4 and now add another 100 hp and tq. Look I am happy with the set up as is but I wouldn't mind more :-)
