Xenons are great, but at that price would recommend the Visibility pack, as the adaptive lights are awesome. Sports version adds paddles...I like them but with such a great auto box you may not use them much. For most people I think heated seats with leather is a must in the colder countries. DAB is standard, so you'll be fine for the stereo! Perhaps Enhanced bluetooth if you use more than one phone? It connects two at same time, which is great if you have a personal and work phone for example. And welcome! |

Heated seats are a must have....
I only added HFS, SPG and Pro Media to my spec and I'm more than happy. The one thing I wish I did have is Xenons. I just couldn't justify the cost.... Which dealer are you using? Stratstone (Shatstone...)? |

HUD over xenons any time, wouldn't you like to know who's calling without taking your eyes off the road?

Xenons look way better than halogens and also light the road better - if you don't care about the cosmetics and drive mostly on well lit roads then you might reasonably form the view that they are not worth it. Personally I wouldn't be without them for both reasons.
Sun protection glass looks better on a touring IMO, particularly with lighter colour schemes (e.g. glacier silver) but like others have said, it can darken the car considerably so may be better to leave it. Far more useful are the fitted window blinds (if you have kids for example). Heated seats are a must with leather. Don't even think about not getting them! Standard and sport auto use the same gearbox but allegedly different shift mapping software. Some will tell you that the sport auto is faster - I disagree (BMW certainly don't publish different stats for the two boxes) so, unless you want paddles and a slightly nicer looking shifter with a leather boot, you could save yourself some cash and never know the difference. Believe me, in sport mode, the standard gearbox is lightening quick. EBT will be standard by the time this car is in build but get reassurance from your dealer just in case. |

Xenons also add the very nice looking white LED angel eyes/DRL's. First thing on list for me. Infact m-sport plus pack and pro nav would do me (well and heated seats)
If you are using a PCP you might be surprised that certain options will not "cost" you that much more per month as they impact the GFV |

Loving my heated seats these cold mornings.
You don't want to rethink that engine though do you? I mean that would be crazy so late on in the decision making process. You've carefully researched the engine choice and there is nothing wrong with that lovely twin turbo 4... But have you thought of the 330d? I hear great things about it. Only one turbo though so probably not as good... It does go well though and with more power than it should have. Not as much as the 335d though, and it has twin turbos... Back in the day, there was only the 320d and 330d really and life was so much easier...

Have you speced up a 330d with your configuration?
The auto is std as well as the metallic paint plus a bigger contribution from BMW it might not be much more. I was looking and speced a 320 against a 330 on PCP and they can out almost identical on the monthlies! GBR1 |

Vis pack is a must and would rather take it than xenons alone.
M SPort plus Heated seats these will cover most things. If you are going on PCP Ms port plus will drop your monthlies. |

Some mega info there
Seems Xenons are a defo must have so "tick"! I drive mainly on M-Ways etc so don't feel the need for the adaptive headlights. Heated front seats, "tick". I kind of like the "cave" interior - so will probably still go for Sunset Glass! Still not sure on the Paddles! Reference the 330d question - its a company car, hence the engine restriction & the option restrictions! No opportunity for M Sport Plus No-one has raised the thorny issue of Adaptive Suspension! Any-one else driven the 325d? Thanks everyone for your responses so far! |

Even though you've already ticked the box for Xenons, I'm going to pile on ... just in case you're tempted to un-tick it.
IMO, Xenons are an absolute must-have for safety reasons alone. If you haven't already done so, compare Xenons to halogens on a dark side street or rural road. The difference is (almost) literally night and day. I'd say they should be required on all new vehicles if they weren't so expensive. |

If your options budget is tight, forget pro media and buy a good TomTom or Garmin for £150 with live traffic and lifetime updates. That way you have money to add other things. Pro media is lovely but it is a trinket.
