Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Run Flats for 330D M Sport
Hi,
Does anyone know of a supplier with any stock of the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Run Flats (255/35/ZR18 Y90 ZP) for my 06 330D M Sport Touring Auto? There seems to be a (inter)national shortage of these particular tyres and the only alternatives I can get are the Bridgestone 050A. I have tried the main tyre dealers, Kwik-Fit, National, Black Circles, eTyres, Event Tyres, Hi-Q, ATS and even my local BKW dealers don't have any. I have complained to Michelin and they said that there won't be any more until the end of November. Anyone know any small or local dealers with some stock left? Thanks in Advance. Mark. |

I'd be interested to see how you get on with the PS2 RFTs - if you can get hold of any. You could try www.micheldever.co.uk as well
Good luck!

Doesn't answer your question directly as7920, but if you're changing all 4 then the Bridgies are pretty good IMHO and not a bad alternative if you're really stuck.

Are you guys not tempted to go with non run flats???
If any of you have what are you doing for a spare? Or are you using a can of tyre weld??

I'll probably change cars before I replace this set and I reckon trade in will be better with the proper tyres. |

Wont make any difference to trade in - Not something a dumb ass salesman would notice

To be honest, I'm happy with the handling on runflats, so not that fussed about changing. I was all set to hate them, but I just don't. |

Have changed to PZero Neros non runflats - and the ride is so much better. Carry a pump and tyre weld in the back just in case.

Success at last.
Many thanks to scooba0010 who suggested Elite in Rainham. They restocked yesterday, shame I have to travel 100 miles to get them but that's how desperate I am now. £10 down and getting them fitted tomorrow! Thanks to all your suggestions, I am very happy with the run flats and considering my motor has M Sport suspension I am pleased (a surprised on the original test drive) with the ride. I replaced the two fronts recently with PS2's and wanted to be consistent, I may be considering a change soon and didn't want to risk affecting the residuals by mixing brands (if that happens). Cheers, M. |
