Perfect 18" wheel / tire combo for e46 CSL
Gents,
I tracked my former e92 M3 extensively, but despite one track day at Knockhill, I've stuck to blitzing Scottish B roads with the CSL that I've owned since moving to Scotland in July. I am to the point that I'd like to stick some lightweight 18" wheels on the car to optimize handling. I need a wheel that will clear the 356mm AP bbk up front, so the APEX ARC-8 is likely the one to get. I've found a dealer in france, but have questions on the best size and if I need spacers. Any suggestions on the best wheel / tire size combo for an unmodified suspension? Favoring Michelin PSCups as I ran a couple sets on my e92 and they aren't all that bad in the wet. To be completely honest, I am starting a thread to save on search time. If someone has experience with e46s and can chime in, it would be greatly appreciated. --JC

any progress since then? thinking about the same: change my BBS 19" to Apex Arc8 (the ones that look like CSL) , but it's a bit hard to decide , coz noone in Russia ever used Apex.. Does the front axle differs from rear?
