Anyone getting free Sirius/XM in your 2013 M5 like me?? Lol!

I haven't been driving my M5 too much lately but now that it's 2014 I was wondering about my Sirius/XM Subscription in my 2013 F10 M5. As I understood it, we were only supposed to get a years worth of free Sirius/XM when we bought our M5's. I was one of the guys who picked up my F10 M5 for Euro Delivery on Sept 1st 2012. I figured my 1 year subscription of satellite radio would start when I took re-delivery in California 3 months later. It's now January 2014 and I still have all the same channels like I did before on my M5's satellite radio. I would have thought my 1 year free subscription would have expired by now. I had no intention of renewing my subscription and as far as I can tell I'm not being charged anything extra for the XM Radio service, so I'm just going with it. Am I wrong about the 1 year of free service? Anyone in the same boat? Lol!

Check your credit card statement, or log on to XM/Sirius. You might be getting billed monthly at the highest plan level.

When I called to activate my free year they said that after a year I would then be invoiced on a monthly basis if I didn't call to cancel or pick a different plan.

yeah... double check because they are probably billing you. They had already billed my wife's car another year and it "autorenewed" Dec 23rd.

They probably have your credit card and are charging you full list price.

My Sirius switched off when the trial expired because they don't have my card. I never really used it anyway since the sound quality is so poor.

Nope, I already checked my Sirius/XM account. They only have my old stand alone radio in there from when I deactivated it over 2 years ago. There is no balance due and there is no mention of a vehicle radio ID. Weird. Additionally, none of my bank or credit card accounts have been charged anything. Like I said, I think I'm getting free service. Or at least I hope they just shut it off when they figure it out, since I don't want it. Either way, I'm not gonna say anything unless they start calling me. Lol!

i had a company 2011 535 (lease expired) and about 15 months into ownership they shut it off - we were never billed, just for some odd reason it didn't expire after the 12 free subscription period - not sure if they just gave me a 15 subscription for just being good that year, and i didn't ask anymore questions...

Sirius stopped my service after one year exactly to the day. The M5 is not my daily driver, but I was considering renewing if I could get a deal. My biggest problem with Sirius is that it is not completely commercial free. When I looked at the renewal notice and saw they charge a dollar or so extra "royalty" fee each month on top of the subscription fee, that was enough to push me into the no column. I have no problem with the artists being paid a royalty fee, I just think it should be included in the monthly subscription. I can purchase 15 iTunes each month for roughly the same cost to add to my collection and really enjoy back to back uninterrupted music on the B&O, with the iPod plugged in, of course.
