Need help coding to HiFi in NJ (through Fiber Optic Port)

Need help finding a place to recode my base stereo to HiFi. Coding through OBD port is not possible, tried that several times. Apparently it needs coding through fiberoptic port under the dash. Please help..

Regards,
Roman

Has to do with 2010/11 production year radios, that cannot be coded through OBD.

That is not correct

Edit. I am not a coding expert but mine has been done this way (2011) and others have succeeded as well. Search is your friend. You are probably missing some values or $676 in the V.O. Etc.

I need it coded, not trying to do this myself, hence search as you suggested is of no value to me. Coding through OBD is not possible, 2 very knowledgable individuals have tried to do this. $676 is loaded, they cant get the radio to reset through the OBD. I would like to know if anyone has coded their raido this way in the tri state area? So please no more search the forum comments, I have no desire of doing this myself.

I think what you are asking is actually programming, not coding. Coding can be done with cheap chinese cables through OBD port. Actually programming can be done through OBD but it will take forever and it's risky.

So, if you need programming, than fiber optics, otherwise you're good to go with even cheap chinese cables.

Hope this helps.

Not really, but thanks... I am sure there are guys on here that do coding, can someone please explain why certain production radios cannot be coded/programmed via OBD? Appreciated input..

Roman

You are welcome. I was trying to explain that coding and programming are different procedures. Simply put, coding is easy, programming is hard
