Very Dirty 228i Sportline
Here's what's most likely a pre-production 228i Sportline they brought by today.
We had an ice storm the past few days so this car is filthy. Melbourne Red over Black Dakota Sportline from what I can tell. M Sport Brakes equipped, Premium and Tech, Manual , Sport Steering Wheel. This looks to be a pre production model, I don't think those "sport" badges make it to the production car based on what they did with the F30. Anyway, enjoy a filthy 2 Series! |

I've seen several Camaro's the last few days and they have the same damn black diffuser as the M235, must have been a discount at the subcontractor.

I have to agree that this looks better than the one on the M235.
Nor sure how BMW could have done that....but they really have.

Funny how this 228, here in the US, has the "slats" in the front bumper air intakes, but the M235 won't ? So weird....

It's because that's a sport line. Those silver whiskers are an integral part of the sportline theme, so you can expect to get it on the sport line even in the US.

I have always disliked the diffuser on my 135s, for example. But at least it is smaller, relatively speaking. The one on the M235 seems to "dominate" the back end, at least in my opinion. It looks too big, and is slightly overwhelming to the rear. Combine that with the direction of the taillights (which I like), and the back looks to me as if it's ass is raised up too high. Perhaps a better diffuser will clean the back end up nicely, but it's too bad you need a replacement from the get go.
