Finally ordered
Well folks, after many months of agonising over my next car I've finally taken the benefit from all this agonising. Having been finance free for this time I've changed my mind from a F31 320d to a F30 330d... We also decided a dog wouldn't be best suited to our Bengal cats.
Thank you to you good folk who have answered the threads I've posted and helped me to make my decision. So, just ordered: BMW F30 330d M Sport Mineral Grey Black Leather Interior Comfort Package Visibility Package Adaptive M Sport Suspension External Mirrors Folding, Auto Dimming Seat a Heating a Front Brushed Aluminium Trim. High Gloss Trim Finisher Loudspeaker System BMW Advanced Enhanced Bluetooth with USB and Voice Control (6NS) Model Designation Deletion. Back and Side. I've stuck with the standard M400 18" wheels and no navigation system. I know this seems odd to many of you. However, the roads round here can be awful and ride comfort is a priority, most of the time. Also, I use Navigation about 10 times a year and iOS TomTom works for me on these occasions. 6NS and iOS TomTom give me all I want. For both of these omitted options the residuals don't phase me as I'll have the car for at least 5 years. So, it's go the 5 year service pack also. Now, all I have to do is wait until March...

Well done for taking the plunge! I too have ordered mine with 400M's. I've buckled some 19" wheels in the past and to be honest i would prefer a slightly softer/quieter ride.
Jus need my car now.. |

You've used a fair amount of sound logic in your choices although I am not a user of auto hifi and comms equipment. My spec will be very like yours because for Cumbria read Northumberland and same road problems! Only thought I have is that colleagues here were adamant I needed powered, memory seats because my wife and I share our 14,000 miles a year. they strongly advised this as essential otherwise I'd be driven mad by frequent difficult, seat adjustments. Would this be an issue for you? |

Congratulations on the order. You could have gone for the M sport plus package which will give you the 19" wheels, HK music system and the xenon lights and with that package the cost of the visibility package also comes down.

Similar spec to mine a similar thought processes. I also left behind the Sat Nav for the same reasons (and the ridiculous cost).
Mine is looking like it will take about 7 weeks from order to deliver, so not too long to wait |

Thanks for your thoughts guys:
Power Seats. Would certainly be a nice to have for anybody who shares a car. However, not as important to me as I am the main user with my better half only an occasional user. I have my seat as low as it goes and the mirror positional memory should help me find my position quickly again. M Sport +. Looks lovely! I did put it on using the web page car configuration thing. Though, 19's may have suffered in the local roads and Privacy Glass would have been annoying at security. Many extra searches. This was the best mix of toys for me given my self imposed financial line in the sand. Which has already moved up...

Nice one
I also don't have the Sat Nav, as i didn't think i would use it, also an expensive option I know the next motor will have it though, as i want the HUD. The wife has a couple of Bengals, brother & sister. Lovely animals, although i'm more a dog lover. They're no where near my motor |

Nice - one thing I would check if you get Black panel 6WA?
The car looks so much nicer with it and it doesn't cost too much. It would be the first thing on my list.... does it come with your EBT option? Last edited by dazzapb; 12-09-2013 at 05:34 PM.. |

Thank you all for your positive comments. I'm really quite excited about my new toy to be! It's going to be a long few months!
The Visibility Pack was essential for me. I do a lot if driving in the dark and had Xenons on my last car. So, I wanted at least Xenons back and the visibility pack just sounded perfect. The bog standard Halogens don't cut it when you're bleary eyed driving home from a night shift. I'm sure they will be excellent on the dark A roads of Cumbria! The Black Pannel Display is certainly very good. It's not part if EBT. It was part of my configuration for some time, it just went in favour of other upgrades. Only finite funds. My first test drive had Pro Nav and I was very impressed with the Black Pannel Display. However, the standard display is also excellent. I particularly like the cruise control markers displayed round the outside of the speedometer on both.

Still not really interested in the black glass. Though, if kids arrive in the period of this car it will be better than sticky blinds... I thought 19" wheels would be fine with my adaptive suspension. Also, it will be on winter 18" wheels when the roads are really bad. The brakes look smart, and it's a heavy car... HK improves on the Advanced Loudspeaker upgrade I'd already selected. When I looked into it further the extra value added by the package is Y0 £760 Y2 £1114.29 Y3 £923.67 Y4 £758.16 Y5 £617.76 Y2-4 of BMW PCP GFV's. Y5 from projecting the trend forward. To seal it, the 19" rear tyres in my preferred brad of Pirelli were actually cheaper than the 18's. There seem to be more M Sports on 19's than 18's on the road and particularly so on this forum. I suppose this could be a supply and demand or economy of scale issue. Oh well. Build week 5 for my car... I,m not going to change anything else!...

Top move....the M-Sport package is a no-brainer really. The sun prot glass actually is really good, and should look very nice on Mineral Grey. |

I ordered at the start of this month for a 14 plate delivery. Build week 5 says to me that it should land just about right for that.
When's yours due?

Enjoy that run in 335i! I'm sure it will give a glorious soundtrack. I must admit I miss the sound of a petrol, especially one with more cylinders...
