Power steering cutting out

As I was driving the other day I noticed that when I was changing lanes or making a slight turn, my steering seemed to "hic-up". It just seemed that the power steering cut out for a fraction of a second.

Then, later that day I was making a left turn and my steering cut out completely for about 3 seconds. The car was very hard to turn.

The power steering then came back on and I have not had a problem sense.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Wow, that is annoying. I would definately have that checked out. My mini did that once and it turned out that some sensor was going bad so the car disbled the poswer steering. It was a bitch to drive, but it still worked. The key to driving when power steering is not working is only try to steer when the car is moving.

I'd make an appointement as soon as possible!
