Soon to be newbie
Hi Guys, soon to move from E46 to E90/2. Would like a 6 cyl MSport if poss.
I am in Northampton and prefer to buy from an approved dealer. Looking at 10-12k is this realistic? Where would you recommend I go to find a decent pool of cars? I have seen the posts for Big Motor World, so would avoid them. Keen to hear your views. Also, anyone know that if I do find a car that is not an M-sport, if I put a body kit on it, will I invalidate any warranty from the approved dealer. |

Should be able to pick a 09 plate for that sort of money, probably a 320 or maybe a 325.
As for warranty, no idea, I dont have one.

I think OP wanted 6 cyl. You will be able to get a 6 cyl for that easily. Now you just need to nail down engine preference, spec, nav, interior/exterior colour, coupe or saloon. You could probably even get BMW approved used within that budget as it is December and they will be desperate at the moment.

I have been checking BMWs approved website and there are a few good ones. Just concerned they all seem to be 325 petrols. Any issue with this model? Really want an M sport if poss

The 325i and 330i are good reliable engines. Avoid the 2.0ltr if you can
If you can, get the 330i as the fuel consumption is virtually the same but you will get paddle shift on the autos and about 280bhp. Happy shopping Jon

Great to know. I had no idea why I had not seen this function on the lower engined car. I would hope not to need to modify the car for a couple of years, but looks like the wheels will need changing and OBD port will need shifting.
I will bear that in mind when negotiating price Thanks for all your help. I hope to let you know how I get on, by month end. |
