Arrow What Is This!?

I saw this part on the bottom of my driveway and am now trying to figure out what it is. This is driving me CRAZY!
Anyway, I hope somebody can help me get to the bottom of this...

Is that the slot where the jack goes to lift up the car? Is it about 5 inches long?

jack pad, located behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels just under the rockers.

It's more like 2-3" long. And I was thinking the same thing until I saw all 4 jacking points were still there. Hmmm.

Could this be related to the jack pad, maybe a component? Because the jack points don't quite look like this part. Here is a jack pad in comparison.

Also, the part I found has no part number or BMW logo anywhere.

Does the part you found slot in to the support lifting platform?

At the bottom of your driveway means it could be from any car. I first thought it was found under your car. Is there a BMW logo on it?

It should have a part number if it's from your car. Just like the jack pad has a number in your picture. Otherwise it's likely not from your car.

There's no BMW logo on it. It was found on trash day at the bottom of the driveway. I'm thinking maybe not from my car then?

I think it's just aggravating because it's the same type of black plastic BMW uses everywhere. I did run over a possum about a week ago but this part doesn't look like it fits into the wheel well.

Now to see if it fits into/onto anything...

So this piece SORT OF fits into the jack point, albeit with a lot of play. Still thinking it's not from the car now.
