Leather wrapped centre console!

Hi,

I really hated my cubed silver trim & I've being trying to find trim I like!

I got my hands on a M3 rear leather console (ashtray), so I've wanted to get the centre console in leather!

Anyway, after speaking to a few people & trying to source the genuine M3 leather BMW use - I decided to take it to a professional leather re-trimmers!

I purchased a genuine M3 ashtray cover (£40) & said to the owner - can you match this leather & wrap my console!?

2 weeks later, I have this........

I am so happy.... just waiting for my Black/Grey Wood Poplar trim to arrive = then interior done!

Only mod left to do is...... Josh's headlights!

Then the car is finished!?

Well maybe a newer steering wheel!?

I'll put up some pictures in the daytime when I get the other trims!

It is a alluminium console underneath!

Very impressive, I'd love that finish in mine do you know if he glued it straight to the console or has it a layer of foam between.

Im not sure about this stuff but the leather I have is self adhesive so can be peeled off with no glue or marks left over.

I thought it was 'fake leather' you had?

I'm pretty sure it's glued as the leather had to be thinned for it to fit! It hasnt got foam underneath as again it'll be to thick! The ashtray still opens perfectly!

I would usually say... do all the trim as it doesn't look finished... but this really works! The silver is no longer such an eye soar as there is not as much of it!

And the CIC controller does stand out more!
