Why I Hate Winter (plus some blue wrapped trim)

Just de-badged my car and gave it a nice good clean 2 days ago (a simple wash, don't have the time for a proper detail unfortunately). But anyway, I thought it was looking nice

Then I went out yesterday, one journey to my sisters house and back and it looks like this

Is it just pointless trying to keep your car clean over winter if just one journey ruins the lot? My car only gets cleaned about once a month as it is so come its next wash its going to be filthy Might move out to Australia, hold out there for our winter haha.

Anyway, mini rant over, I also wrapped my interior trim with brushed blue vinyl, wasn't too sure at first but its growing on me. Would look better with black leather interior but thats going to have to wait for now!

Not the greatest photos, still getting used to my camera but definitely better than my old phone snaps lol.

Looks nice (the trim, not the dirt!).

You did this yourself or got it done?

Think you need to do your centre trim to match!

I know how you feel, I spent ages on mine the other weekend. One journey to work the next day and it was covered in mud again (route involves driving past the construction of a golf course).

I quite like the blue trim, as you say it'll look better with a black interior

Thanks Did it myself and turned out quite well. I have wrapped it in CF vinyl previously but it was rushed so I was a bit dissapointed with the result. Took my time with this lot and its worked out much better.

I've got some satin black vinyl coming this week to do the centre, I think all blue looks too much and satin black should work with the rest of the interior trim (around the radio etc).

Needs all the trim doing to match, not just the dash strip.

I don't bother cleaning my car in winter.

I've done the door trims as well, it's just the centre trim that needs doing and it's going to be satin black. If you check out Achu's car, he's done all the trim in blue it's a bit much for my liking (no offence intended to him, on the whole his car is amazing!).

O/T but where did you get the front splitters from? They look like a good fit

Splitters were just cheap eBay ones, paid something stupid like £60 painted and posted! Seller was BMW Chop or something along those lines. Got hit with around £15 import charges as well.

I wrapped it myself, the vinyl was again from eBay, just searched for "brushed blue vinyl". Only paid about £15 for the lot.

My black vinyl has just arrived as well so hopefully have the centre piece done today or tomorrow

Satin black vinyl added to the centre. Fits in the stock trim pretty nicely, slightly shinier but quite a good match. I'm fairly pleased with it Excuse the fingerprints etc, still needs a wipe down lol.

Also fitted LCI cupholders since the last photos. A few more LCI interior parts on the way too

I also ordered a sample of gloss black and used it to do the badges. Not perfect if you get up close, but any other time it looks pretty good I think
