My car , which has been scheduled for production, has the letter "V" in position eleven of the VIN. What plant is this? Thanks.

Thanks, I had forgotten about Leipzig....the new factory located in what used to be behind the Iron Curtain. Sure hope they do a good job. I was kind of hoping for the car to built in Bavaria like my others have been.

just be thankful it's still built in Germany. Not knocking the other countries, but when I buy a German-brand, I'd like the product to come from there. It's probably all in my head, as the SA plant has been receiving rave reviews, but still.

I feel the same. I just can't bring myself to think of a car built in South Africa or South Carolina a true BMW.
