First Mod on my New F30

Hi everyone,

Just got my F30 last Friday. First mod - black grilles.

Looks good. Did you install it yourself and if so did you remove the original one through the face of the grille?

Thanks. I did the install myself. I removed the weather strip and screws and went in from the top, following the instructions linked below. Pretty easy. Took about 10-15 minutes. However, when I reinstalled the screws, the gap between the hood and fascia was off - a little uneven. I had to loosen them again and adjust it a few times. The bigger your hands, the tougher the removal though. Installing the new grilles was a simple as gently pushing them in place.

Black grilles were my first mod (along with black exhaust tips). Looks great!

I would sell them, but a clip broke off (probably wont affect install) and one vertical slat cracked. You probably don't want them.

That has me thinking if the easiest way to take off the original grilles is to just break off the slats so you can get to the tabs easier!
