ipod & usb retrofit

Hey everyone, i have two questions. i'm curious about adding the ipod retrofit for my 06 325i. I have the nav professional unit that has the screen built into the dash. Is it possible to have the ipod interface hooked up? I also did some research about possibly adding a usb port somewhere such as in the center console where the AUX is located. On ECStuning i found that they have the AUX/USB like the newer models have such as the 2008 328i.. Is it possible to just swap it out with the usb/aux or would that not be possible? The pictures ECS provided makes it look like you need another connector for it to work.

Dension gateway 500 s BT or mobridge unit

Will give you usb and ipod plus bluetooth streaming(a2dp ) for a lot less
than a factory retrofit. They also display the tunes on the screen and allow screen
selection.

Visit the Dension website.
They have both installation and operation pdf's to study.
There are DIY's for installation in the DIY section here.

There are some cheaper options that work through the aux input
but the aux input is crappy and it won't give you steering wheel control.

Greetings ctuna,

I just bought a Dension 500S BT for my 2006 325i (e90) with non-idrive professional stereo, it is prewired for CDC but I don't have one. Do you know if there is wiring in the glovebox like the e60?

I would like to be prepared and get a good understanding of the wiring before I attempt a DIY install. I have searched the posts and I really can't find anything specific to an e90 with non-idrive.

Thanks for any input you or others may have.
