reliability F30/F32 28i N20
I'm thinking of buying an F32 28i N20. Since this is a totally new engine, I wonder how reliable it is and what the opinions are of owners. Are there are already returning issues with multiple users? I'm also planning on chipping it in the next year, how reliable would it be after chipping? already experiences? thx

I've got a N26 in my 328i and it's da-bomb so far!
Couldn't say as much for my 335i that I had.

I had a first year 2007 335I, and it was the worse car I ever owned. Loaded with problems. I now wait until the 3rd or 4th year model to be out before I consider buying it. Even my CA told me never buy a first year model. The F30 I think is going into it's third year. I haven't heard anything regarding the engine/ turbos having any issues. With all the electronics these cars now have, chances are something will go wrong. However, that applies to pretty much the majority of all cars on the road today.

Based on my own exp w the n55 335xi, its not very reliable. The car is sooooo amazingly complicated that there will be a huge risk of out of warranty reliability issues. There's a mystery limp mode issue for msport, drivetrain malfunctions, and in some models rust seats. Make sure you have an extended warranty and have fun.

I got extended warranty 6 years 100K, my car now has 6k miles and no limp mode here, the M-Sport is a must have if you are buying it and looking to keep for over 5 years
I had three other BMW 2006 325i CPO with 45k, the worst car ever! Every week a new issue 2007 335i and 2007 335xi, better than the 325i but still having issues The N55 now is bullet proof, used in all bmws even on 7 series, and the 328i and 325i share the same body 335i RWD runs on my blood now, by far the best car I ever owned Fyi, if you need a reliable car and no maintenance buy a Civic. BMW new brakes installed = $1500 Civic new brakes = $200 You can buy a new engine on ebay for a civic for about $1,500 BMWs are EXPENSIVE as hell after 50K miles even without having major issues
