Anyone in SoCal willing to help

I am a DIYer at heart but am having the hardest time following the mass amount of instructional videos, pdfs, and forums posts in regards to coding. I feel like everyone has a different setup and has different step/files to get things done. I am currently running Windows XP SP3 on Parallels for Mac. I've downloaded INPA, NCSexpert, NCS Dummy, the SPdaten files, and Standard Tools.

Is there anyone who is free one future weekend in the Los Angeles area that would be willing to help? I'll supply lunch and beers
