Question about F30/F32 HUD

Can you do this with the HUD on an F30/F32 or is this just for ///M cars? The picture comes from the HUD of a M6 GC

Pretty sure only ///M cars give the option of putting the HUD in "track mode" with RPM etc.

God I wish I could set an adjustable shift light in the HUD

Yep, definitely can't do this with F30 HUD, unless there is some coding magic that can be worked out by somebody.

Those features with rpm's and shifts are only available on M cars as far as I know! Definitely not on the the F30 though!

Check the coding thread, pretty sure something can be done.

As of right now the "M performance" option in the coding at best gives you an M Performance logo when you start the car, unless someone with the 2014 Navi has done anything different, the option registers were in the code but the actual functionality wasn't.

May be something that cars with the newest software will unlock, but if you already own the car that chance is slim.

I'll be tinkering, but I don't hold up much hope. After all, coding is really just enabling or disabling options, not redesigning things. If it's physically the same HUD as the M series, wit the same chips and code, maybe, but...

Showing revs and gear in the HUD is a pretty basic requirement to me, but I'm not the BMW marketing department! They think "Aha, he wants to see that, let's only put it in an M series and he'll buy that instead". Wrong.

I have a coded 2014. Adjusting the HUD isn't an option.
