Satellite Radio Issue after detail

Has anyone seen this before, I had my 2007 335i detailed and when I drove away I noticed the Sat Radio would not pick up any stations. AM/FM/CD still works. It does not appear to change stations and having Sirius send a new activation signal did not help. I even tried the voice system which told me there was a low signal program.

The DIY stuff doesn't help me because I'm not certain where the problem is located. I popped open the trunk and took a look at the Sat Receiver and it looks fine and dry, does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone seen this happen before?

I would guess the detailer removed the shark fin antenna to detail under/around it and knocked out one of the antenna connectors. If that's the case, the shark fin cover is double sided sticky taped down, remove it, unbolt the antenna (held on by a single torx 20 screw) from the roof and check the three connectors.

I just got done checking it out, there is still some wax around the edge of the shark fin so I am nearly certain they did not remove it during the detail. I'm hesitant to remove the shark fin because I'm not certain I have the correct parts to put it back on once I remove it.

I also talked to an audio guy I know and he recommended that I disengage the battery and let the radio reset. I took out the ground and let the car sit for 30 minutes but when I engaged the battery the presets were still there and the sat radio still did not work.

I'm at a loss, I've inspected all the wires I can see and nothing appears to be shorted out.

It sounds like one of the antenna connectors is loose, maybe from an orbital buffer repeatedly smacking the sharkfin (just speculation). You will probably still need to look under the sharkfin at those connectors.

I think there are antenna's on the window

I think there are antenna's on the window
the rear one . If they are decaled to it they could have broken
one.

see pages 14 and onward.

Also tinting could affect the FM radio reception.

So I ended up taking it to the dealership. Already incurred 270 bucks in expenses and they can't figure it out as of today.

Here's my next question. I they take the figure out that the Sat Radio module is shot can I buy a used mode and drop it in without having to recode?

UPDATE: Problem was the antenna, had to be replaced.

How much was it for the new antenna? I am having a similar issue.
Did you have the dealership do this or did you do it yourself?
Was a new cable re-routed or just the antenna itself replace?
Thanks!
