F32 4-series has grown taller in 3 months?
When BMW released the press kit in June, the height of 4er was 1,362 mm (53.6 in).
And now she’s got 15 mm taller. What happened with her? The press kit (pdf here) stated “a roofline that now runs 16 millimetres lower than before (1,362 mm)” in page 5, and the specification (page 27 & 36) also shows the height = 1,362 mm. But I recently found the technical data on the web shows the height = 1,377 mm (54.2 in).

Check the press release and the web site in the 1st post.
Both tech specs are on the same 17" rims. Only the body height is different. Last edited by Toshi; 10-04-2013 at 12:12 PM.. |

In most cases the overall diameter stays the same (..i.e...larger rim, lower profile tire......smaller rim, higher profile tire). Going from 18's to 19's or from 19's to 20's doing really affect overall diameter.

19" wheels are not bigger than 17" or 18". Tyre aspect ratio is changed to get a very similar rolling circumference and wheel diameter. Also the idea that a bigger wheel (rim diameter) fills the fender gap is just an optical illusion, not due to a different wheel diameter. HighlandPete |
