DSP's MINIDSP,Mosconi,MS-8

I am getting ready to buy the components to upgrade the HIFI in my 128 and I will be going with the EPS Individual Audio speakers but I haven't locked in a DSP yet. I have been reading a lot of the build threads and most people use the MS-8 even though there are others such as MINIDSP, Mosconi, Helix and they too have a lot of happy users. So with that said I would like to get some more input on what DSP you are using and why you picked it over the other offerings?

There are two groups of DSPs - those that auto-tune and those that don't. So unless you know what you're doing with respect to tuning (99% of people don't), get an auto-tuning DSP like the ms-8 or alpine h800. If you were an expert at tuning however, you would already know which dsp you want!

I used miniDSP with OEM HU in my Kia Rio and for 95$ (2x4 + miniDC) it's good solution, if not the only one.
Now I ordered 2x4 to use in my E90:
Prof CD => MOST-RCA => miniDSP =>Amp.
I'll tell results 2-3 weeks later.

I've heard good things about the miniDSP. Problem is that since it's USB driven you are limited to ~0.9v outputs. Be ready to turn the gains all the way up on your amp, and then wish they went higher.

True but I have tuned my home-theater setup pretty well so I'm not afraid to try it out in a car plus I have a calibrated mic and REW so I have all the equipment needed and MINIDSP integrates with REW which means it to will auto-tune. The biggest thing is the cost savings since a 2x4 boxed kit with plugin and power supply is like $130 shipped. Not to mention each plugin is only $10 and can be added anytime turning it into a Xover for fully active setups as well as many other uses so its a very cheap and versatile bit of kit.

They have a balanced output version that has higher I/O voltages. Check out their site and forums a lot of good info and projects on there.
