External video on I-Drive display?
I have an '08 E90 with I-drive and Logic 7. I'd like to be able to run video from an external source (i.e. iPod/iPhone or maybe a DVD player) through the existing display. I have no idea where to begin. Any links, references, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Most of them use the aux-in for the audio signals input.

I've also made some headway on other parts too. I plan to dedicate an old iPod video that will live in either the glovebox or the center console (for ease if access). I'll connect it to the AV-in with an iPod to Composite cable and run the USB into a 12v to 5v Converter that draws its power from a fuse tap. As far was which fuse to tap, I'm still figuring it out. I have my V1 hardwired too, so obviously I can't use the same fuse. My last question, for the audio out from the interface, I'm assuming that I'd need an RCA to 1/8" cable back into my center console where the aux-in is, right? |
