Im just applied a layer of carnuba wax on my e90 and was wondering if its ok for me to keep waxing it? Is it bad for the paint or wax.. i feel like i have heard people say its bad to wax too many times together.. is this true?

doesnt matter, its possible to layer to much on with certain products or mixing products. Can make it look hazy from to much stuff. But have fun, when its warm I wax once a week with no problems. I like to throw some klasse AIO inevery few weeks to clean things up. Chris

wax will not harm a finsh. even a cleaner wax wont harm since the cleaners it they sue are chemical and are not abrasive. polishing it often will do harm in the long run i presume.

my only concern about waxing is that if not taken the proper steps or procedures u could be inflicting swirls and after a few more month will give u some swirls to worry about in full sun.

Depending on the colour of your car, too many layers of carnuba wax will tint the finish a yellowish colour. This was noticeable on my silver car.

And I believe some cleaner waxes do contain abrasives, so be careful at the frequency you wax if using one of those.

honestly i wax once before winter and once in the spring...then just wash and use some glaze stuff any other time for that wet look.

the way i understand it wax is for protection purposes, while glazes and detailer sprays are for that wet look

I picked up my new 3 this week and waxed the whole car twice and then played with about 5-6 different wax, sealants etc on the hood. No harm at all just stay away from abrasive cleaners as they will add up
