Illusion Audio Carbon C4

Has anybody tried using these speakers? They say they have a 59mm(2.3in) mount depth but looking at the aftermarket speaker guide these might be .354mm's to deep to fit in the doors.

They are 9 mm too deep. Only way to fit them is top-mounted to door panel (= bye bye OEM look).

You may cut the tabs and mount them inside the OEM grill, like the DLS R4. But only in an E90.

Technic you say only in an E90 but have you measured the E82 by chance? I haven't really found anyone who has the measurements for the 1 series doors and what will or wont fit them.

This could be a viable option if they come with grills.

The E82 front speaker depth is between the E92 and the E90, or 5mm less than the E90 give or take.

Well that sucks so its looking like the Gladen Kit is the best option.

A set of what? The Illusion's or the Gladen's? Also what better options do you think are out there?
