HU Help...

I had a Pioneer AVH7500 installed yesterday...They installer was a little reluctant to extend the wires to the trunk becuase they though it didn't make sense so I got them to extend it underneath the steering column...they had the Metra 70-9003 but not the Metra 71-9003 so they ended up cutting the speaker wires from the OEM harness...so long story short i lost my chimes and back up sensors and i also got a code 36CC...I have the speaker underneath the drivers side dash already...can someone help me get my chimes and senor's back...should i get the 71-9003 or is it too late? will post pics of the harness later...thanks in advance...

I think you should have found a more competent installer. Did they relocate the stock head unit?

So they just ran the wiring but didn't relocate the head unit?

Pretty much...they cut the speaker wires on the OEM HU...so now their is a harness sticking out under the steering wheel column...

That is the oem hu connection but no telling what state its in. You could try extedibg to trunk w metra harness. You could also try coding your VO for 'no radio' which might work since you say you have an under dash speaker.
