Cool 8" low profile Kicker SSMB 8 underseat woofer/mid range - £200 + del

8" Low profile Kicker SSMB 8 underseat woofer/mid range - £200 + delivery.

Shallow depth, will need custom spacer, best for mids (unlike earthquakes). My audio project is complete now so clearing up all parts as I need some space. See my other threads for other audio bits.

It is not straight drop-in but (neither is Earthquake SWS-8s) this will need a custom spacer. With spacer this is shallow enough to be installed in our cars and there aren't many after market choices available to us mainly because of shallow depth.

If you google you can find a thread with full detailed pictures (perhaps somewhere on this forum) showing what was needed to get SSMB installed.

Generally it should be £8-10. This size speakers are generally heavy.

Speakers in very good condition. See pic here.

Delivery is £9.60 fully insured.

Got it imported from the US to install in my car but didn't have enough time to do it with custom spacers etc, I went easy jehnert route but this is much better mid-range driver with a punch. I am still not sure if this is compatible with E60 (one I drive) as E60 underseat enclosure are slightly different then E9x and seat rails go right on top of it. As this speaker is highly flat flushed kind of carbon fibre surface I was worried it may be restricted by seat rails. Didn't want to work too hard on it only to findout it doesn't work. I know for a fact it works for E9x chassis.

One install thread here.

AWBimmer, to be honest I have never heard them side by side to compared them due to sheer volume of modding required to fit these in my E60 but judgeding by the looks and build quality I am sure it will sound better then Jehnert. I felt Jehnert to be slightly weird sounding for mid-bass, if I play Jehnert xe200 underseats on its own it it sounds more like sound produced by something hitting long wide metal pipe which has a tinny end in the tune. It could be my car, my jehnert or something own, whatever I can't say it is normal.

I wish I had e90 to try these ones, or loads of spare time to make my own plastic spacer for this underseats.
