Morel Hybrid 402 Tweeter Level

Hi All -

I'm installing the Morel Hybrid 402's this weekend. Any recommendations on the tweeter level to use on the MXR240 crossovers that come with the speakers?

I read some earlier threads recommending -3 dB levels for the Morel HO II's. Should I set these to -2 dB?

I installed a JL XD 600/6 last weekend and have been happy with the improvement so far...

The morel tweeters are so smooth, I wouldn't bother reducing them, go for 0db setting.

My Hybrid 402s had the same instruction sheet, but the silk screen on the crossover was clearly labelled '0 dB', '-2 dB' and '-4 dB'. I left them on -2, but I'm wondering if the crossover was mislabelled...

That's odd! I actually have +2, 0, -2 as called out in the manual.

If your concerned over it, I'd contact the manufacturer and ask about it

I went with -2 on the setting and it sounds good so far. I'm withholding any criticism until I've broken in the speakers

Hey Irished, how do you like these speakers? I just purchased my morel hybrid 402's...should get them sometime very soon. What tweeter level did you end up going with?

Vp recommended a - number for the front doors.
I have dotechs set at -3db
