I have a 2009 Bmw 328I with hifi audio and Alpine PDX5 amp with technic harness. I have been driving around for a few months and decided to put the processor that I had laying around since my I sold my last car and the humming noise that I'm getting from the amp is getting on my last nerve.

doesn't that processor need the alpine rux controller if you are not using an alpine head unit and the AI connection?

Did you get the unit to power on? Is there any kind of fuse involved?

The only other thing I can think of is will the H701 accept the balanced differential inputs that the hi-fi head unit provides. I know Technic and others installed an H800 and it works fine, but haven't read about any H701 installs in hi-fi cars. Would seem odd that is couldn't though, as most alpine amps work fine with the balanced inputs even though they don't claim this feature.
