Shifter Shaft Seal Leak...worth getting fixed?

Hey guys, ran a search and couldnt find much about this...

so i brought my car into the stealership a few days ago to have the battery cable recall fixed. While it was there the service writer calls me and tells me I "need" about 1800 bucks worth of work done including a new belt tensioner, a new seal for the shift shaft seal, and the thrust rods tightened.

He also asked me on the phone if I track my car (it's stanced) and this idiot clearly doesnt know the difference. So basically I feel like he could just be trying to pull this one on me like oh he probably drives his car hard I'll tell him hes got all this really bad stuff to make some commission.

Anyways what I'm most concerned about is the shift shaft seal leak. Now right off the bat I'd assume this is some stealership BS because i never see any leaks in my garage from my car, and because the oil pressure in a manual trans is less than A/T (if im wrong correct me). Do I really need to get this fixed right away seeing as though the leak is probably really small? ANy knowledge anyone has on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
