Is This Normal!? Please help

When I bought my 2012 328, the tailpipes were kind of black, when they were supposed to be silver. I was told that was "normal". I had it cleaned and it was almost 100% silver. A few months later, they look almost completely black! And it seems like its "spitting" on the car paint (you can see in the pictures). Please see attached and any thoughts are appreciated!

Carbon build-up on exaust for gassers is totally normal. If you wash your car often, and use chrome polish then you shouldn't see this kind of build-up. That being said how often do you clean the car? Also, If you have any tuning software installed, it can change the emissions and cause increased carbon build-up. If not then it could be a problem with the emission system of the vehicle.

The car is running fine... I didn't do any tuning and I last washed my car probably 2 months ago. It just doesn't seem normal to be that black and to spitting back on the car...

Totally normal carbon build-up for 2 month's between wash's. I do once a week, unless the car has to sit for a little while. Don't worry about it looking like it's spitting, that's just a charistic of that engine and exaust system. Hell the 3.0 I6's exaust even sounds like it's spitting.

Looks like new even though it is new and less than a month old. I don't see my car ever looking like that. I would never let it build that much mess in the muffler tips.

Give me $40USD and I will clean your car while you are at work
do you travel, bro?

My car is super dirty right now.

Some of it is dirt to be sure. But it looks fuel related to me. What type and grade fuel are you using. I've seen this with Porsches when fuel mixture is on the lean side.
