Seems like you have a break in your MOST loop somewhere or a failed device on the MOST loop that's not transmitting the signal around the loop.

Find someone with a diagnostic tool (INPA, DIS, ISTA, Autologic) and pull the codes from the car. It should tell you which device is causing all the problems.

Check your fuses if not look for error codes. Go to your local auto zone store and have them hook up the code scanner. Should be free or buy the guy lunch or something...keep us posted.

Dont take this personal but sounds like you are not mechanical inclined enough to do any troubleshooting . Go ahead and take it to a BMW Indy shop and let them take a look at it... Keep us posted. Good luck

Your %100 right.. wouldnt know wat to touch or how to touch it anyway so Ill jus leave that to the proffesionals.. My main concern is how much does something like this cost to fix? if it is what you guys are insinuating it is?? Because I just drove it again and the radio plays now n seems fine. I jus really want to know if someone has had this problem and taken care of it so I know the price range Im lookin at....

It depends on what the problem actually is. The message you saw is related to a device on the MOST loop not functioning properly. There's several devices on the MOST loop and if one isn't working, the communication between the others fails.

Price to fix would depend on the module having the problems and the cost to replace that module.

SOS malfunction/no bluetooth/no radio sound!

I too am having this issue- I did replace the fuses-didn't work. I have a 2006 bmw 330i. (I do not have a dvd-mute button to reset) are there any other combinations to try? I want to try disconnecting the battery or tcu module to see if I can reset that way-battery has 2 positive connects! I read I'm supposed to disconnect negative cable-some advice please on the battery cable?! In the tcu module what plug do I disconnect- I want to try all possible reboot solutions before bringing it into the stealership. Thanks.

Guys u should disconnect the negative terminal for about a minute from the battery. This will not do any harm. Its worth a try. Keep us posted.

Not sure why anybody is pointing you to fuses. Fuses don't cause intermittent issues (they're either blown or they're not). You have an issue with a wiring contact or a faulty module based on your explanation. Also, how is your battery? Batteries in these vehicles cause all kinds of electrical gremlins when they near the end of their useful life. Don't take the vehicle to autozone to have codes scanned. Their scanner can't pickup codes in this particular module. You need to use INPA or BT tool if you're not bringing it to an indy or dealer to draw the codes. From there we can help you determine what component is faulty

Hello: I have the same problem. Intermittent radio, no bluetooth, no chimes, can't charge the phone. Now the radio has completely stopped. In checking the TCU (In the trunk, just ahead of and above the battery), I disconnected the wiring, saw a bit of smoke, and some of the plastic on the connector appears burnt, and one pin is completely missing. I'll investigate further today, and maybe hot wire the failed pin. By the way, this is a 128i.
