noob philosophies about 335 exhaust

hi guys,

so i started my car today and was grabbing something out of the boot. realized that only 1 exhaust was actually blowing out air. Im going to take it that this is normal, but how can i have both exhaust working at both times? is this the golf t mod / dc the cable in the boot thing?

thanks

Yes, that is the golf tee mod. I did the actuator unplug method and it makes the car sound a lot better IMO

You can unplug the actuator, which is easiest. Doesn't matter if the car is on or off. Open the boot, go into the left compartment and unplug the only wire you can. It's very easy and quick. Makes the exhaust sound better and air comes out of both sides

The reason you only felt air out of one side is because there is a valve that closes unless you are at a certain rpm or throttle level. Unplugging this wire turns this feature off

If you end up throwing a tune on the car, they can control it too. I know JB4 has an option for the valve to always stay open, assuming others do too. In the meanwhile, pulling the cable works

I run map 5 full time. There's no need to toggle it when needed, it's safe to leave it on

Opening the valve will increase drone too which is why I keep mine closed. Using a JB4 doesn't decrease gas mileage. You can avoid using the turbos all together pretty easily if you're careful on the throttle.
