Dinan Stage 1 Suspension -- When?

Anybody know when Dinan will release their Stage 1 Suspension upgrade for the F30? Any ideas how much it will lower the car? Pricing?

And for anyone who had the Stage 1 Susp for the E90, I see it cost about 2k. How much was labor for the install?

*crickets*

So I just emailed Dinan and here's the response:

"We are working on a full product catalog for the F30 cars. At this moment, I don’t have an eta on when we’ll be releasing product. But we own one of the 328’s and 335’s, and they’re in constant development & testing. Thanks for your patience!"

I see Dinan has nothing for the F30. That's disappointing, considering they've had some two years to work on it. I hope it's worth the wait!

I have spoken to Scott (NJ rep) a few times about various upgrades planned for the F30... in terms of suspension, I asked him what they have planned to work with the M Adaptive suspension:

They are releasing "Shockware" and lower/stiffer springs (along with matching bump stops) similar to what they've done for the 5 series (Here's a thread with some happy 5 series owners). The target when I last spoke to him a few weeks ago was to have this released anytime within the next 1-4 months. Pricing on the shockware for the 5 series is about $800, and the springs/bump stops about $500)

When I asked him about the performance of the shockware/springs versus a full aftermarket damper/spring setup, he said that they REALLY like the stock M Adaptive dampers, and feel that by tuning them (i.e. making them firmer in each of the settings, and adding lower/firmer springs and new bump stops to allow for full travel) the result will be excellent.

This is definitely the plan for me, as I'd like to keep the stock adaptive shock functionality...and I also like the price a lot better than replacing dampers.

By the way, it couldn't hurt if others interested in this system gave a call (800.341.5480) to our friends in Morgan Hill to encourage them to get this released ASAP!!

Wow! That sounds like the best option for us with the M Adaptive suspension! I hope they release it soon!

Call them to tell them you are anxiously awaiting it... this can only help encourage them to fast track its release.

Well, technically summer lasts for about another 5 weeks, so what both of us were told may prove to be correct... again, calling to pester them can only help.

Already did . My contact at Morgan Hill says he's also anxiously awaiting the F30 parts and says very soon!

I spoke with the NV rep and he said they're hoping to get something out before the end of this year. He says they're focusing on the tune first and then the other hardware parts, which is why suspension, intake, etc isn't ready yet.

I have 6 months to use my 20% discount from the dealer... hopefully Dinan has something by then because I suspect their stuff will be superior to the M Perf stuff.

Good to see a few other folks calling Dinan to let them know we're interested.

Here's the link to the section of their site that describes the shockware:

Wow just saw this post. Maybe it can be renamed Dinan Shockware software.

If this software were out this year I would buy it.

Anyhow it's a huge step.

bump!!! Everyone start emailing/calling Dinan again, let's get a new update from them. I was emailing them once a month, but they've stopped responding to me, probably getting too annoying.

Dinan confirmed today stage 1 for
the F30 will be out within 30 days. This will include a spring for the adaptive suspensions as well as no adaptive.

Stage 2 will be sway bars and camber plates later to come.

Yeah, looking forward to this... hopefully shockware will come soon once they get the ECU access process ironed out with BMW brass.

Confirmed from Dinan directly.

Springs for cars with DHP and Dampers and springs for those without.

No info was mentioned on Xdrive but I'm sure they will have something.

I'm sure they're fielding many calls about this, give them a call.
