Service engine soon and the service due

Service engine soon and service due came up. I will like to know how much money will the service cost me for a 2009 BMW 335?! Help

The car is running and working in perfect condition.

$150 for a diagnostic or you can do the diagnostic yourself. Do a search or read your owners manual. The CBS on your dashboard will tell you what you need serviced. If it is within warranty take it to the dealer. If it is not then take it to a local BMW Indy. Search the local forums on here for recommendations. Good luck.

I'm going with a bad Bank 2 Sensor 1 Lambda probe ($350), bad T-stat heating element ($250), and a clogged fuel injector in cylinder number thhhhaaareeeee ($325). $925 plus $150 diagnostic fee, so $1,075 for the check engine light, and $120 for the oil change. So $1,195 total. Oh, and then there will be "shop fees" and an "environmental fee", but I've got no clue how much those will be.

Good luck.

Just ignore those pesky lights - the oil in your turbocharged 7000 rpm engine should be good for another 15k miles, easy!

Tough crowd.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

What's the cost of a new engine, that's what your service will cost.

How much did it cost you? I just got a service reminder yesterday. It's the yellow service light. Says 900 miles to go.

I had my cowl off yesterday to do the plugs, and the CBS is telling me to change the microcabin 9/2013. I don't like the car telling me when and why and where I have to do what, so I reset every category. Next time I go to the dealership they'll say your key says nothing needs attention.

The repair to the brake sensor would not have turned off the Service Engine Soon light; they are unrelated systems. The SES light is only related to emissions control equipment on of the engine and fuel supply system. You should read up more about your car so you can ask intelligent questions next time.
