Best dealer in AZ

Looking to order a 14 328i and wondering what the AZ experiences were. I was told that Tucson is a better place to buy since tax is lower. Anyone have good contacts here.

I bought my 335i last month at BMW of Tucson. The experience was excellent. I live in Phoenix and did all my negotiating through email. Once I was satisfied with a price I drove down to Tucson to pick my car up. I worked with Greg Shelko. He didn't play games and was true to his word. The car was showroom ready and my out the door price was lower than what I was quoted for over email. Everyone was really friendly at the dealership. This experience was so much better than my dealings with both Chapman dealerships because I didn't get the typical car salesman tactics played on me. Hope this helps.

Agreed. I just picked up my 335i from Tucson BMW and the experience was amazing. I have bought many cars at many dealerships and Tucson BMW far exceeded all of them in terms of customer service. And dealing with them during negotiations was not the nightmare it usually is with other dealers.

I also can say that my experience with BMW of Tucson was fabulous, and I got a better deal from them than I could get in Phoenix. I worked with Clark Kobey and George Kozlov. Straight shooters - no messing around in the finance department either.

BMW of Tucson is literally on the side of the street that puts them just outside of the city limit so tax is 6% instead of 8%+. I've had a great experience with Clark Kobey. He's been in the business for a long time. Tell him Andy sent you.

I gave up on the PHX dealers because they wouldn't budge on price very much when I was ready to buy, and I was well aware of the deals available in CA.

Interesting, I bought a '13 M-Sport F30 328 from BMW of North Scottsdale at invoice and just bought a '14 M-Sport 335 from Chapman on Camelback at invoice minus incentives.... Give Mike Anderson a call, tell him Tony referred you, he'll take care of you

The Scottsdale dealerships (BMW and Porsche) are snobs. I tried to deal with them and ended up ordering my Porsche from Tucson. I got a bigger discount and they are nicer. My uncle also bought his BMW from Tucson recently. A lot of people are driving down there because it's a better experience and discount.

Tucson gets my vote!
6.1% tax, no MACO = $1,000 saved even if everything else is equal
Rick Raio is the best sales manager I've ever dealt with on any car brand, period!

Sorry, BMW North Scottsdale is the worst experience ever, multiple times I tried, and I only live 5 min from them.

Good choice, pretty close; reliability vs driving experience.

Your Mike Anderson is the exact salesman who laughed when I said I wanted $500 over invoice and that I knew I could get it elsewhere. He also added a snide comment about not selling cars for nothing... and yes, I did buy elsewhere. On top of that, they offered $2k less than CarMax for my trade and I ended up selling it on my own for $4500 more than their offer. In the end I'm happy but I think salesman can vary with customers, current stock, current incentives, etc.

I called BMW N.Scottsdale and set up an appointment for an M-sport 335 test drive, any color - just wanted Msport. Got there at appointment time and:

The car we were to drive was buried behind others.
Then we learned he got the wrong key.
Then we learned it was completely out of gas.
Then we waited for quite awhile for the gas lady to do something at the pump so it could be filled.
Then he left us in the hot car (turned off) while he took a rather excessive amount of time to Xerox our ID's.
Then he was anything but polite on the test drive - barking orders about where to turn and such. It was as if we were in some sort of Twilight Zone.

We were there in our M3, also bought my Carrera next door too. We were serious buyers and clearly presented ourselves as such. Their loss.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I'm sure they have at least few decent people there, but I tried them twice, and based on other reviews here and online, your experience is rather an exception than norm

For some reason they believe, maybe because they are in North Scottsdale, that they own a license to charge more and deliver less.

I dealt with all 4 dealers, my personal rating is:
1. Tucson
2. Chandler
3. Phoenix
4. North Scottsdale

Actually I'm even more irritated now that I read the referral for him above (and the price mentioned) because it shows how they're laughing at a higher price to one customer, yet clearly giving an even lower one to another.

True but if you sold your trade for $4500 more then you were STILL short $2500 if you had traded to Carmax... Every deal IS different and the customer plays a big role, in my 13 years in the car biz, I made the most money on the people who came in and "told" me what I was going to do. It's like anything else, it's ALL in the approach, ya know?

I bought my BMW from Chapman, before buying I had a good vibe from the salesman and sales manager. I tried to e-mail and get a committed price from them, all I got back was vague responses. BTW, I was leaving to get married and the sales manager was leaving to go to Italy to get an award from BMW. But the attitude in the e-mails were, "If you are really serious, then come on down and lets talk #." I came in and almost left they weren't serious in wanting sell me a car. But have to say, I was in and out of the dealership in about 3 hrs. Still too long, we could have cut it down in half if they would have given me the # ahead of time. I hear good things about Tucson BMW, might have to give that a try, our lease on our Altima is coming up in 14 months..
