The E90 monitors the bulbs and current draw. If they are different from spec the car will give you warnings

You can either have your dealer enable Xenon option or use something to fool the car's computer system

How much did you buy them ?

I bought it (HID kits 8000k) for AUD$550 and no warning at all. If you buy the cheap HID kits, it's gonna give you a warning so you must be careful, mate!

Are you guys putting ballasts and HID bulbs in normal halogen headlights? Or do you already have Xenon headlights from the factory and are just swapping the bulbs?

6500k and 8000k bulbs give off much less light than the standard 4200k bulbs, so wont blind traffic.

The higher the temp the bluer they look and the less light they give off
